Ferrari build a mere 448 examples of the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina,the open version of its550 flagship coupe unveiled at the 2000 Paris Motor Show.Produced to commemorate the 70^th anniversary of creation of the famous Turin-based styling and coachbuilding establishment,it was priced at 172,000 pounds: wealthy collectors were said to be offering 30,000 pounds above this asking price,even for second-hand examples.  After 23 years of producing mid-engined supercars,in 1996 Ferrari unveiled the 550 Maranello coupe with a fron-located 485 bhp 5.4 litre V12 engine.Capable of 320 km/h,it is no surprise to find that it consumed petrol at a rate of 35,5 litres per 100 km. for town driving and around 15,6 litres per 100km on long runs.

This is super-luxury sedan with 4 doors and 4 seats in the cabin. According to sources from the company this prototype shows what will be the appearance of BMW’s next leader car. There is also information that its serial production will start soon. According to statements by representatives of BMW, the car is a combination of sports and luxury car. With this model the company is about to enter a market spot, which is not presented before.
